Jin Soo Son Wiki

As a product of Korean Zombie MMA, Jin Soo Son spent most of his career in the DEEP promotion where he would go on to fight for and win the DEEP Vacant Bantamweight Championship.

Jin Soo Son got the call up to the UFC for a short notice opportunity where he would face recent octagon newcomer Petr Yan in what would end up being one of the top ten Best MMA Fights of 2018 and earning the UFC Fight Night 136 Fight of the Night where Son and Yan went a full hard 15 minutes back and forth testing their chins and more so it was Son taking the larger strikes from Yan, however nothing seemed to bother Son as he just smiled through and returned fire.

In his second apperance to the octagon after his then war with now streaking contender Petr Yan, Jin Soo Son was matched up with Mario Bautista who like Son also had a tough first UFC opponent in Cory Sandhagen. Coming as no surprise Son and Bautista would have an exciting slug fest earning them the UFC on ESPN 4 Fight of the Night with Bautista coming away with the Unanimous Decision.

After only 2 fights in the promotion the UFC released Son of his contract even though he was awarded Fight of the Night honors in each of his octagon wars. As of early 2020, Son has not booked his next fight but the MMA fans of the world are waiting to see the beast that is Jin Soo Son once again.
