It wasn't just that he won by knockout. You expect that against Mullarkey. But it was how he did it. How he managed the range and avoided shots. Measured distance. How fast he was. How he changed levels and transitioned from stance to stance. And the fluidity of his strikes. He also has a very good counter wrestling game. If his cardio and chin holds up I see him as a future champion.

@RustyTennakoon I agree with that, but also how confident he is. A confident fighter with skill like his, is a dangerous fighter. With that said, I do partially agree with Arturo. It's hard to gauge what Ruffy's ceiling actually is by having this win over Mullarkey. Who is honestly not a very high level fighter in this division. I do have to say that I'm very excited to see him fight again. He's fun to watch

Fair points guys. I get what you are saying. I am totally going out on a limb by calling him a future champion I know, but there is something really special about him that I have not seen in anyone else recently including hyped strikers like Fiziev, Peyton and Slava. Maybe I am wrong but even then he will be a great addition to the division.
